- 1" paper hexagons. Or download my PDF to print and cut for free!
- Mini Charm Packs (buy local where possible) Or you can cut scraps into 2.5" squares.
- Scissors I still have the same pair I bought 20 years ago and these are my go-to scissors. If you ever get tired or achey hands - these have a spring so you only close them - and then the spring opens them. So clever!
- Thread You cannot go wrong with Aurifil 50wt thread. Excellent quality and colors. It does cost extra but you won't regret it. But...save it for sewing pieces together. For basting the oldest and dustiest thrift store finds will be fine
- Needles Sharps are perfect for hand sewing. If you have trouble threading a needle then I recommend the Clover Desk Needle Threader. It is an investment at about $16 but it makes life so much easier! (And they have a cheaper one which I like because the caps protect the wires.)
