Workshop Descriptions
Read all about each workshop and see examples of what you'll make. Not seeing the perfect workshop for you? Contact me using the form above and I can design something bespoke for you.
Soap Making
Make 2 to 4 different bars of soap using the provided scents, colors and decorations in your own unique combination. Decorate the soap packaging with your own hand drawn labels. (Class is 90 minutes+ depending on the number of participants.)

Candle Making
Attendees make 2 unique candles, using US grown and prepared soy wax (environmentally friendly, and clean burning). Add your desired color and scent combination. Decorate the top of your candle with dried flowers, crystals or whatever else matches your event theme. This class can be extended by adding or substituting candle decorating. This uses colored wax sheets and cutters plus wax pens to decorate premade candles with the design of your choice. (Class lasts 1-2 hours depending on the format desired.)

UV Resin for Everyone
Make earrings, coasters, bookmarks, necklaces, bracelets, bottle openers (if age appropriate) and more. Personalize your creations using the provided inclusions such as glitter, sequins and real dried flowers. In this 2-hour workshop each student will get to make 3-4 unique items that are ready to use straight away.

Seasonal Holiday Decorations
After a brief demonstration, attendees will spend two hours creating their own unique holiday decorations using UV Resin. Use seasonal inclusions in addition to glitter, sequins and more to ensure that your creation will be truly your own. Students will each leave with between 2 to 4 decorations plus either ribbon or hanging hooks for immediate use.

Bath Bombs
Create your own bespoke bath bombs or shower steamers for a unique bath time or shower experience. In this 1-2 hour class we will be using reusable molds so the fun can continue at home. For those who prefer showers, a similar technique provides an aromatherapy experience while you wash and relax. Each attendee will leave with four bath bombs or shower steamers, or a combination of both.

Make Your Own Jewelry
Variations of this workshop are available depending on the age and abilities of those involved. Learn how to make your own beaded necklace, dangling earrings, a wire wrapped pendant, and two types of bracelets. All materials will be provided, and the techniques taught include bead stringing, different types of knots, application of crimp beads, wire wrapping, and clasps of various types. Everyone will leave with at least 4 items of unique jewelry.

Upcycled Jewelry Holder
Take a simple wooden picture frame and some fabric and transform it into something brand new. The resulting piece is ideal for holding and organizing necklaces, bracelets and more. Class is 3 hours long and requires the use of electric hand drills so will be a little noisy.

Traditional Sashiko Embroidery
Learn this traditional Japanese embroidery technique from a former Tokyo resident. In this 2-3 hour class we will look at the simple rules and materials traditionally used to make these mindful and meditative pieces. Choose a traditional pattern and begin stitching with confidence. You will be able to take away materials to complete the project at home. In addition guidance will be given on where to source additional supplies to continue your new hobby.

Shibori Dyeing Adventure
Try this traditional Japanese resist dyeing method in a 2-3 hour workshop. Using the traditional indigo bath provided, transform your own clothes or household items, or create new ones using blank tea towels and napkins. Sewing groups are encouraged to bring cotton yardage or this can be provided as required. Attendees will leave with the rinsed items still damp in Ziploc bags. These will need to be dried once they arrive home. (If a venue is being provided, please note that this class uses permanent dye and so wipe-clean flooring is advised wipe. In addition, the venue requires at least one regular size sink and running water.)

Quilting for Beginners
This 6-hour workshop can be taught in a day or split into multiple shorter sessions. Attendees will be introduced to the essential quilting terms and tools before starting to cut and assemble their first project. Where sewing machines are available for attendees, we will make a simple baby quilt. If we are hand sewing, we will make a placemat. The class will include cutting and sewing the quilt top, choosing a batting, quilting your quilt, and a simple binding technique.

English Paper Piecing
Learn this traditional patchwork technique that dates back to the 1700's! During the 2-hour class students will start by learning two methods of making the fabric wrapped hexagons, before being walked through how to arrange and join them. The finished project can be a pincushion or coaster.
Bonus - taught by a genuine english woman!

Quilt to Jacket
Take a quilt (or something quilt-adjacent, like a blanket), take our super easy pattern, and a jacket is born! Make the Rhett Jacket from Seamwork in this 6-hour class, available in sizes 00-26. Let Bea guide you on size choice and pattern piece placement on your quilt, before we start sewing. Everyone will leave with a jacket almost or fully assembled. (Attendees must already know how to use, and be comfortable with, a sewing machine, and each attendee needs to have their own machine to use.)

Bag Charm, Mandala and Affirmation Making
A wonderfully positive workshop loved by people of all ages and genders. Combine beads with shrink plastic to create meaningful accessories. Use the materials provided to color your pieces and add favorite quotes to bag charms, keychains, bookmarks and pendants.
